Peck Lake Park is a 70-acre preserve in Hobe Sound that offers several areas to picnic as well as a short (just under a mile) walk out to the Indian River Lagoon. This nature trail out to the estuary is mostly boardwalk, but does include some natural trail. Pay attention to your surroundings at this park as you can experience pine flatwoods, baygall wetlands, oak hammock and plenty of breathtaking mangrove forest. The end of the trail is an expansive deck area with a covered pavilion where you can rest and watch the lagoon for any manatees, sea turtles, birds, or dolphins that may cruise by. And listen closely, you can hear the ocean waves breaking on the beach on the other side of the barrier island that is part of the Hobe Sound National Wildlife Refuge.

Please follow Leave No Trace and keep our natural areas in Martin County healthy, clean, and enjoyable for everyone.
