Autumn Birding Nature Walk

Don’t miss this morning birding adventure led by the President of the Martin County Audubon, John Nelson. Bring your binoculars and get ready to see some of Florida’s resident and migratory birds in this diverse southern section of Savannas Preserve State Park- the Hawks Bluff Trail. From Florida scrub, to oak hammock and wetlands, this nature birding walk won’t disappoint!

DETAILS

  • FREE program, but reservations are required
  • This program will begin at 8:00am and last until approximately 10:00am
  • The length of this nature walk is about 1.0-1.5 mile across various natural surfaces including uneven trail with sand, roots, compact dirt.
  • Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
  • Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray
  • Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult
  • No pets
  • All participants will be required to sign waivers that will be provided the day before and at the start of the program
  • State Park entry fees apply and there are two options: Pay on your phone at the preserve using the QR code on the kiosk ($3 per car up to 8 ppl) or go HERE and get a State Park Day Pass.
