Exploring Atlantic Ridge Preserve State Park: Guided Nature Walk

Atlantic Ridge Preserve State Park is a tropical paradise with 4,886 acres of pine flatwoods, wetlands and oak hammocks, as well as plentiful wildlife. This park also borders the South Fork of the St. Lucie River offering magical views and the feel of old Florida, while located centrally in Stuart, Florida. On this guided group hike, we will be joined by park staff to explore the new hiking trails and to learn about the park and its history.

DETAILS

  • FREE program, but reservations are required
  • There is a State Park fee for parking ($2.00 per person on foot, $4.00 per car with 1 occupant, $6.00 per car with 2-6 occupants)
  • This program will begin at 9:00am and last until approximately11:00am
  • The length of this nature walk is about 2 miles across various natural surfaces including winding narrow trail with lots of roots
  • Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear- Always be prepared for mud and puddles
  • Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray
  • Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult
  • All participants will be required to sign waivers that will be provided at the start of the program
