Exploring Out West: Dupuis Nature Walk

Come on an adventure with us exploring one of the beautiful large natural areas in western Martin County. Dupuis Management Area, managed by South Florida Water Management District, is 21, 875 acres and spans Martin and Palm Beach Counties. Dupuis has many ecosystems including ponds, wet prairies, cypress domes, pine flatwoods and remnant Everglades marsh. For this program, we will hike down and back on the hiking trail getting a feel for the ecology, history, and managment of this magnificent natural area.

DETAILS

  • FREE program, but reservations are required
  • This program will begin at 9:00am and last until approximately 11:00am
  • The length of this nature walk is about 2.0 miles across various natural surfaces
  • Please wear appropriate outdoor clothing and footwear
  • Bring water, sunscreen, and bug spray
  • Minors (under 18) must be accompanied by an adult
  • No pets
  • All participants will be required to sign waivers that will be provided before the program and at the start of the program
