Intercoastal Cleanup Day at Blowing Rocks Preserve!
21 Sep

We are thrilled to partner with Costa Sunglasses, the Beach Bucket Foundation, and Ocean Conservancy to host this year’s International Coastal Cleanup!

Plastic pollution is a massive problem for our ocean, but even small actions can make a big difference. Every bottle, every straw, every piece of trash you clean up can lead to a cleaner, healthier ocean. Join us and enjoy a stroll in the outdoors through the trails and beaches of Blowing Rocks Preserve to collect marine debris that has been washed ashore and trash left behind. Volunteers will be instructed by The Nature Conservancy’s preserve staff upon arrival and given collection supplies.

*Preserve staff will lead a group on our private trail along the Indian River Lagoon from 9:00a.m. to 10:00a.m. for anyone interested in joining. Be sure to arrive by 8:45a.m.

FREE volunteer opportunity, welcome to all! Advance registration is required, but walk-ins are welcome if supplies remain.

*Light to moderate physical activity.

*Recommended for ages 6+, all youth under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
