Stewardship Sunday Native Planting Event at Blowing Rocks Preserve!
22 Dec

Join us for a FREE fun-filled morning of planting native plants and maintaining our native plant nursery at Blowing Rocks Preserve!

*Great way to earn volunteer hours for school, scholarships, or other community service requirements!*

Native plants are essential to conserving coastal ecosystems, and providing food and habitat for native animals. That’s why at this event, we’ll be outplanting native plants grown in our native plant nursery on-site!

Participants should plan to gather on the porch outside the Hawley Education Center between 9:45 and 10:00 AM for volunteer check-in before the activity begins.

No previous experience is required, all are welcome!

Prior registration for this event is appreciated but not required, and walk-ins are welcome if space allows. All necessary tools and supplies will be provided by The Nature Conservancy.

All youths under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Be sure to come prepared for the Florida heat and bugs by bringing a refillable water bottle, sun protection, and bug spray if necessary. This activity will involve walking on uneven, sandy terrain, so please wear appropriate closed-toe footwear.
