Everyone knows that Martin County is full of stunning, sandy beaches and impressive ocean views – but did you know that this coastal county is also teeming with artistic talent? With a multitude of art galleries and residents who double as local artisans, Martin County is an art lover’s paradise. Nothing proves that more than the annual ArtsFest in downtown Stuart.
A Martin County tradition since 1988, ArtsFest is Martin County’s biggest annual celebration of the arts. This juried art show features more than 125 talented artists and welcomes more than 30,000 patrons. Guests are invited to peruse and admire art of varying types including paintings, photography, jewelry and ceramics. However, the art show is only the beginning. ArtsFest also features an exciting food event designed to tantalize your tastebuds! The ArtsFest “Chopped” culinary competition features contestants preparing meals onsite from a box of mystery ingredients. With your senses of sight and taste covered by the aforementioned events, ArtsFest also provides pleasant sounds with their lineup of musical acts.
ArtsFest is presented by the Arts Council of Martin County, an organization dedicated to inspiring participation in and a passion for the arts. The Arts Council provides a host of cultural programs to support creativity, learning and strengthen the fabric of Martin County. ArtsFest is the Arts Council’s largest fundraiser designed to provide opportunities for people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds to discover and embrace the arts.
